Course Overview

Want to upskill in the community title system and allow your clients to own part of a building that can be separately titled?

The most common forms of community title use have been for multi-storey residential apartment buildings. Yet increasingly, the use of community title is becoming more diverse.

Community title schemes can be used for:

  • Freestanding homes usually consisting of no more than two or three lots (for example, three freestanding houses sharing a common driveway and pool)
  • Attached housing – such as townhouses and villas
  • Retail shops
  • Commercial offices
  • Industrial warehouses

This course will provide you with an understanding of fundamental community title concepts; the various forms of community title subdivision; and community, neighbourhood and precinct schemes.

At the end of this course you’ll be able to:

  • Identify common community title concepts
  • Draft checklists for advising a client on a community title purchase contract
  • Prepare to advise the client on a community title conveyance

The course contains content that falls within the mandatory CPD category of Professional Skills.
